How does an online Secret Santa work?
The organizer creates a group and shares the link. Everyone joins with their name. When everyone is in, the organizer runs the draw and each person sees only who they got, on their own phone.
Is psiu! free?
Yes. Creating groups, inviting people, running the draw and the quick draw tools are all free.
What if someone draws their own name?
It never happens. The draw runs on our server and nobody can ever get themselves.
Can couples or siblings be kept from drawing each other?
Yes. The organizer marks who can't draw each other and the draw respects it both ways. You can also prevent swaps (if Ana gets Bruno, Bruno won't get Ana).
Do I need to download an app?
No. It works right in the browser on any phone or computer. You can add it to your home screen like an app if you want.
Can the organizer see who got whom?
No. Not even the organizer sees anyone else's result. Each person only sees their own Secret Santa, signed in to their account.
Does it work for other occasions?
Yes, any secret draw: Christmas, Easter, office parties, birthdays, church and school groups.
